Port Edwards Public Schools are dedicated to providing every student with a curriculum and instruction that encourages, inspires, and creates successful young adults who are productive citizens for the future. To that end, the curriculum that is developed and utilized by teachers, and taught to students, must:
- Be aligned with state and/or nationally recognized standards
- Promote rigor
- Include real-world activities
- Represent the best instructional practices in the discipline
- Ensure equity within and across grade levels and courses
- Ensure a developmentally appropriate scope and sequence across grade levels and courses
- Prepare students for success academically, socially, emotionally, and in the workplace
- Be available for parent and community stakeholders
- Guide incoming teachers and administrators
Linked below is a scope and sequence of the curriculum that is taught in each content area, broken down by grade level and course. Please contact your building principal for a more detailed curriculum map of a specific grade level or course.
